Bircher Muesli Breakfast Bowl

Start your day with a delicious and healthy breakfast!
I’d like to share with you my favorite breakfast bowls that not only taste great, but are also quick and easy to prepare. Breakfast bowls are a perfect way to combine different ingredients, you can add whatever you have at home and can get creative with assembling!
You can prepare the Bircher Muesli Breakfast Bowl the night before, so it’s ready to eat the next morning. Super quick and easy, I hope you’ll give it a try!

Ingredients

  • 100 g oatmeal (I used whole grain muesli with raisins, but that’s a matter of taste)
  • 250 ml milk of your choice
  • 2 tablespoons of nuts or seeds of your choice (walnuts, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, …)
  • 1 apple
  • Toppings of your choice (banana, berries, honey, …)

Instructions

  1. Mix the oats with milk. Finely chop nuts, add raisins (if you like) and stir into the muesli.
  2. Cover and set in the fridge for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. The next morning (or shortly before serving), wash, halve and core the apples. Roughly grate on a vegetable grater and fold into the muesli.
  4. Serve with toppings such as banana slices, berries, more nuts or even honey!
  5. Enjoy!
